Opportunities

Shell STEP - OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR BUSINESS - JULY/ AUGUST 2005

Through Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP), Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and CBIP we are able to offer local businesses graduate placements, in a wide range of disciplines, at a subsidised cost.

The help takes place from 28th June to 20th August (for 8 weeks) and gives your company the benefits of dedicated, full-time attention to a project(s) specified by you. The STEP programme is designed to help small and medium sized businesses develop their potential by utilising the high level of skilled undergraduates at an affordable cost. STEP students have helped thousands of companies by setting up IT systems, writing marketing plans, researching the feasibility of a new product or service, creating websites & e-commerce facilities, design and creating company literature, researching export opportunities and automating accounts procedures. This is by no means an exhaustive list – we have a large range of committed students registered, and many projects are suitable.

  • Brief the applicant on the project
  • Carry out an assessment of the participant on completion of the project
