Raising the Profile of Craigmillar
Through liaising with businesses, projects/partners and the local community, we aim to stimulate and highlight local good news business stories to the Edinburgh, National and International Press.
Dedicated Upskilling Scheme
Through work with existing businesses our advisers have identified business skills gaps and now provide a dedicated up-skilling scheme for local business people. Full details of available courses and dates can by found in Upskilling.
Local Business Initiatives
Working closely with CBIP and Cre8te, CDBA will investigate and produce local initiatives designed for the benefit of the business community in-line with the regeneration plans for the area. Regular Meetings
We hold regular meetings to discuss opportunities available to the local business community, as well dealing with relevant local issues such as:
- The affects of the redevelopment planned by PARC
- Shop Front Improvement Scheme
- Transport Infrastructure
- Security of Staff and property

Networking Opportunities
One of the primary objectives of the CDBA is to provide a networking and information forum for local businesses. CDBA will provide members with the perfect opportunities to network with potential customers/suppliers at local events, whilst also providing members with the latest information on regeneration plans and the issues effecting businesses both locally and nationally.
Shell Step
Shell STEP is a nationally run undergraduate programme that runs for eight weeks every summer, students join small to medium sized businesses and community organisations to undertake specific business and technology related projects of real and lasting benefit to the host organisation. More....
